Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the world economy, more than in the last century. The trade in agricultural products plays an important role in the food security of the people of the world. In this situation, the Government of India has called for a general lockdown to protect the people from the effects of the disease spread. This paper analyses in detail the impact of the pandemic on the India’s international trade in vegetable oilsand its trend over the last 10 years from2010-11 to 2020-21. Accordingly, despite the sharp decline in exports and imports of industrial goods in the international trade of India, export and import of vegetable oils were increased well. But, its impact has different effects on different commodities.
