Abstract
The new control theory is considered as effective means to meet the industrial higher requirements. But due to various difficulties, the present state of the new control theory application is beyond thier expectation. According to the classification of new control theory in this paper, advanced PID covers wide scope, however, the modern control theory Is applied only in limited processes. This paper describes the new control theory application trends according to the recant investigation result performed in Japan. A brief consideration relating to the present circumstances is added.
