Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of treating traumatic epilepsy with Dianxianning tablets combined with western medicines. Methods All patients were randomly recruited into a control group and a treatment group. The control group was treated with GABA and carbamazepine. The treatment group was treated with Dianxianning tablet on the bases of the control group. To observe the changes of CT, EEG, clinical symptoms, signs and other changes before and after the treatment. Results The total effective rate was 97.14% and 74.00% in the treatment group and the control group respectively. The difference of total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant (χ~2=14.44,P<0.05) . Conclusion The treatment of traumatic epilepsy with Dianxianning tablet combined with western medicine is effective in improving symptoms and promoting functional recovery of nerve cell function. Its clinical effect is better than western medicine. Key words: Traumatic Epilepsy; Dianxian-ning Tablet; TCM-WM combined therapy
