Summary Acquired cold urticaria is a clinical entity in which wheals appear on exposure to cold, rive patients with cold urticaria were treated with 0,1 mg of azatadine four times a day. Followed for 15–36 months (mean 22 months), the patients were under good control. No significant side effects were noted. Drowsiness was initial and transitory. Ice cube test was positive in four and negative in one patient. This preliminary study suggests that azatadine may be a useful drug in treatment of cold urticaria.
