Abstract
AbstractViscosities, electrical conductivities and Seebeck‐coefficients of a number of glass‐forming oxidic melts are presented and discussed. The data support the notion that glass melts do have a residual, temperature‐dependent structure that significantly determines mass, momentum and heat transport. It is shown that the use of Tg/T as reduced variable helps to develop a deeper insight in the underlying physics of these transport properties.
