Abstract
Shift2Rail programme is the first European rail initiative and seeks focused Research and Innovation (R&I) and market-driven solutions by accelerating the integration of new and advanced technologies into innovative rail products and, in a more general way, Mobility as a Service. CONNECTIVE project, one of the project of this programme, works towards the digital transformation of transport services and proposes Business Analytics tools to improve the service provided. The project focused on: 1) the definition of a large set of use cases with the support of different European stakeholders to better understand the scope of their needs; 2) the development of a large set of components to build processing chains to perform Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics. Results are illustrated with one use case concerning train timetable optimisation and dwelling time adaptation in station, regarding the predicted demand.
