Abstract
In this study "Translation of Arabic predicate into English/ analytical syntactical study", the predicate has been dealt with in some details, the concept of predicate in Arabic grammar, its types, cases and places within the sentence, and an attempt has been made to reach to the correct translation of it into English. The study includes a set of examples of the predicate found in Arabic grammar books, and these examples have been translated by the researcher into English, depending on accurate rules and concepts related to the predicate in Arabic. This study consists of an abstract in English with an introduction about the predicate, a hypothesis, subject and predicate, the predicate and its types with examples for each type, syntactic case of predicate, cases where the predicate precedes the subject, predicate in English, the translation of predicate from Arabic into English, data analysis and discussing translators' translations of these data, statistics for the correct and incorrect translations, the conclusion, an abstract in Arabic and finally a list of the references that were consulted in this research.
