Abstract

Introduction: The translabyrinthine approach is preferred for removal of vestibular schwannomas in patients with poor hearing, and the likelihood of hearing preservation is slight. However, the choice of approach for surgical removal of large acoustic neuromas is still controversial. The authors reviewed the results in a series of patients who underwent removal of large neuromas via the translabyrinthine approach.
