Abstract
The technique of determining plasma parameters from the transient characteristics of a Langmuir probe has a number of advantages over the method which uses a probe operating under steady-state conditions [1]. The dynamic characteristics of a probe must also be considered in cases where the plasma is highly nonstationary.
