Abstract
The authors suggest a model for training of family members and support personnel meeting the needs of those elderly persons previously diagnosed with speech, language, or hearing disorders. This approach for training involves the use of video tape at three levels: direct training‐treatment of the patient; training of support staff within care facilities; and training of family members. The use of video tape as described in the discussion permits repetition as needed for both patient and providers.
