Community Learning Center is a non-governmental organization formed by and for the community that is engaged in learning and is located at the village or sub-district level. To equal education, PKBM has a strategic function to serve all school-age children or people who want to go to school but are unable to attend school. Like others, PKBM Katimpun has also carried out its function to serve and provide education for the surrounding community. The presence of PKBM is a forum for carrying out various educational activities that are equivalent to formal schools in general. The problems faced by PKBM Katimpun are the need to increase expertise in the field of technology and information so that students can compete in the work field later. In addition, students also need to improve their academic abilities. In this case, English lessons are one of the subjects that contribute to the development of skills for students in their future work. Therefore, we took the initiative to combine these two targets into one training material which is expected to improve skills in IT as well as the ability to learn and write English texts. This community service activity is intended to provide training to PKBM Katimpun students through two materials, namely the use of the Canva application and learning to write procedure texts in English.

  • Entoh Tohani + 4 more

The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted the habit of face-to-face offline learning to online learning using Information, Communication and Technology (ICT). This happens in all education units, including the Community Learning Centre (CLC). Community learning centre, as nonformal education unit, has flexible characteristics. Nevertheless, it still has the competitiveness to provide learning according to the needs of students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community activities are voluntary-based, where technology uses are still partial and not optimal. For this reason, community service activities through the training aim to provide knowledge about how information, communication, and technology are used in data management and learning. This community service program approach was carried out qualitatively by conducting in-depth interviews with community samples in each district of Yogyakarta. The offline activity was attended by 20 participants from CLC in Yogyakarta City. With this direct training and workshop, community managers can practice using cloud storage for data management and use online conference and presentation applications to support the creation of learning media.

The eSkills IT Fitness test was conducted again in Slovakia after two years. We picked out the data from 34,775 respondents, analyzed them and compared the results with our last testing findings. We focused on young generation aged 15–24 and tracked the IT skills development in students mainly at primary and secondary schools. We also compared the results of the students of different types of secondary schools. Some of the positive findings showed an improvement in this area, e.g. on secondary grammar schools or secondary vocational schools. There were also some less encouraging findings, which lead to reflection about the efficiency of ongoing educational reform, proper curricula and IT skills of teachers on certain types of schools.

In this increasingly complex and dynamic digital age, students are faced with increasingly complex learning methods. In Indonesia, the deep learning method is currently being implemented, emphasizing the ability to think critically, deeply, and prioritizing cognitive processes. By maximizing critical thinking skills, it demonstrates that students can apply self-management skills to cognitive aspects and actions they possess. Self-leadership skills are important to support the success of student learning. However, the implementation of deep learning in schools in Indonesia still faces various challenges, particularly for students and educators. One of the main challenges is the lack of understanding and skills among guidance counselors in the concept of deep learning approaches. In guidance and counseling services related to student characteristics, guidance counselors need to understand the changes in deep learning, recognize the potential and abilities of students, in order to support the development of self-leadership skills in students. The implementation of the community service program was carried out over three weeks, divided into three stages: (1) planning stage, (2) implementation stage, and (3) evaluation stage. The Community Service activity entitled "Implementation of Signage System at the Community Learning Center (PKBM) Negeri 17 Senen Raya" located at Jl. Kramat Sentiong I Rt 006/ Rw 05, Kelurahan Kramat, Kecamatan Senen, Jakarta Pusat, is part of the tri-dharma activities of Higher Education Institutions. PKBM Negeri 17 Senen Raya serves as a learning center for economically disadvantaged individuals or those facing obstacles in attending formal education. It conducts non-formal learning activities to fulfill the educational levels of Elementary School, Junior High School, and Senior High School, through the learning process and examination of diploma modules for Package A (Elementary School), Package B (Junior High School), and Package C (Senior High School). PKBM Senen Raya is under the jurisdiction of PKBM Negeri 17 Tanjung Priok, located in North Jakarta. Based on observations and interviews with PKBM Senen Raya, it was found that one of the challenges faced by the institution is the absence of a signage system that identifies the location at the entrance and the identification of building signs indicating the learning center of PKBM Negeri 17 Senen Raya. This lack of information boards and socialization hinders the community's involvement and access to learning activities. The implementation of this Community Service activity is aligned with the field of Visual Communication Design, involving the design of a signage system for location and building identification where learning activities take place. The presence of these two signage systems is expected to support the dissemination of the education equality program at PKBM Negeri 17 Senen Raya, raise awareness among the local community about the importance of education, encourage anyone interested to participate as volunteer instructors or learners, and simultaneously support the government's education equality program for all segments of society.

As is known, since the beginning of life, the human being grows, develops, matures, evolves under the influence of biological, psychological and social factors that act on him transversally and longitudinally. These factors can be favorable, when they stimulate the entire evolution, and unfavorable or relatively favorable, when they determine limited or even restrictive structures for shaping human characteristics. The evaluation of these conditions, of the motor qualities, is done in relation to the concrete context in which the student is, but also in relation to the methods of reception and structuring of the particularities that define him. In the conditions of today's society, we are witnessing an obvious progress of contemporary civilization, and the informational explosion triggers a series of changes and evolutions in secondary education, which in the 21st century is experiencing a continuous transformation and development in terms of content, methodology and didactic strategies. Results and discussion. The development of motor capacities are characteristics of the body that offer the individual the possibility of performing various motor acts, related to both his daily and sports activities. In the education process, finding and using the most effective methods and means to ensure the development of these capacities occupies an important place in the specialist teacher's concerns. Pedestrian tourism is a form of sports tourism that represents a tourist march along a certain route. It involves the free choice of several routes, representing a great advantage for those practicing this test. The essential technical elements of this form of tourism are: the technique of pedestrian tourism, which represents a complex of procedures and means used effectively for the solution of tourist objectives (eg: the technique of crossing obstacles, the technique of organizing the tourist bivouac, the technique of orientation in the terrain, techniques of granting the first aid and transporting the injured) and the tactic of pedestrian tourism - is intended to ensure a necessary balance for the students' body between travel and rest. The development of students' motor capacities, in the discipline of Pedestrian Tourism, in the context of the implementation of the new Physical Education curriculum in the Republic of Moldova, pedagogically capitalizes in the Curriculum, a valuable potential for the formation and development of students' personality in the unit of socio-psycho-motor plans. The formative values of the discipline are varied and valuable: the harmonious and healthy development of the body; enhancing, maintaining or restoring motor qualities and health; dynamization of mental processes, including volitional and affective ones; increasing resilience; stimulation of intellectual activity; the development of moral qualities, such as: team spirit, fair competition, entrepreneurial spirit, courage and selflessness, responsibility, discipline and self-control, patriotic spirit, etc. The development of motor skills in students is an essential process for a healthy childhood and for their preparation for adult life. Through physical education, sports and recreational activities, students not only improve their motor skills, but also acquire values and habits beneficial for life. Promoting these issues in schools and communities is vitally important for the healthy future of young generations. Tourism activities can play a significant role in the development of motor skills in students, providing them with unique opportunities to improve their physical skills, but also to learn essential aspects such as teamwork, problem solving and adaptability. This analysis focuses on how tourism activities contribute to the development of motor skills in students and their formation as well-balanced individuals. Conclusion: Tourism activities provide a fascinating panorama of how students can develop motor skills and reach the maximum potential of their physical abilities. By exploring natural environments, tackling challenges and building resilience, students not only improve their motor skills, but also gain confidence in their own abilities. Promoting these activities in education can contribute to the formation of healthy adults, aware of the environment and able to cope in various situations. Therefore, the development of motor skills through tourism activities represents a valuable investment in the future of our students.
