Abstract
ABSTRACTThe article examines the historical origin and contextual distribution of terms for ‘Lord’ in sensu largo in the Kulakia Gospel, a nineteenth-century lectionary Gospel written with Greek script and composed in the local Slavic vernacular dialect of the Lower Vardar region of Aegean Macedonia. The paper contributes to the historical lexicology of the Balkan Sprachbund and the history of vernacular Gospel translation in Macedonian and Bulgarian.
