Abstract

SummaryUpland Welsh soils of rhyolitic origin contained less total Co, Cr, Cu, Ti, and V, more total La and Rb, and less acetic‐acid‐extractable Co and Cr than soils derived from dolerite, pumice tuff, and mixed drifts. Except for the surface enrichment of Pb, pedological factors appear to have had little effect on the distribution of total or extractable trace elements within these immature soils.
