Abstract
Apresentamos resultados de pesquisa cujo objetivo foi o de identificar se há uma adequação das condições de trabalho dos professores de Química no Ensino Médio da Rede Estadual de Ensino de Pernambuco, considerando as condições de saúde do trabalhador docente. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com docentes de seis escolas que fazem parte do Programa de Educação Integral (PEI) do Ensino Médio da Rede Estadual de Pernambuco (4 com jornada integral e 2 com jornada semi-integral), como uma pesquisa do tipo etnográfica. De acordo com os entrevistados, há uma carência de recursos didáticos na área de química que gera aulas teóricas e convencionais em detrimento de aulas em laboratórios ou mais dinâmicas. Existe, também, uma sobrecarga de trabalho docente em geral nessa rede de ensino, que ocasiona adoecimentos. Mas esses docentes evitam solicitar afastamentos, porque o vínculo de trabalho que têm com essas instituições não permite isso, sob pena de perderem o vínculo com essas escolas de tempo integral e, com isso, a gratificação que recebem.

There is a lack of didactic resources in the teaching of chemistry, which makes theoretical and conventional classes much more frequent than classes in laboratories and more dynamic
There is an overload of teaching work in general in this educational network, which generates illnesses. These teachers avoid requesting leave of absence, because the employment relationship they have with these institutions does not allow this, under penalty of losing the link with these full-time schools and, the bonus they receive
