Abstract

When adults of Geocoris spp., Hippodamia convergens Guerin-Meneville, Nabis sp., and larvae of Chrysopa carnea Stephens were caged on potted cotton plants treated with chlordimc form or methomyl, both at 0.14 kg of AI/ha, mortality was significantly higher for the methomyl treatment. In field studies were the insecticides were applied aerially to replicated 8-ha plots, there was a decrease in predators in the fields treated with chlordimeform and methomyl.
