Abstract

High-resolution electrooptic images have been successfully acquired, whose pixel number of 0.2 M is a record-high for the non-scanning acquisition of high-frequency electric field distributions and is a triple of the conventional record. The image acquisition was conducted using a megapixel image sensor, where the reduction in the pixel number from 1 to 0.2 M is due to unessential vignetting and can be prevented in future. The result suggests possible realization of the live electrooptic imaging technique in the megapixel range with presently available hardware employed, which had been considered unlikely.
