Abstract

Abstract Aiming at the problems of large average torque ripple of square wave permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in ordinary speed control system and excessive commutation torque ripple of the motor at high speed, a high-speed square wave PMSM torque ripple suppression strategy based on direct torque control (DTC) without flux hysteresis is proposed. The improved zero vector in the non-commutation phase and the improved three-three conduction in the commutation phase are used in the full load torque ripple suppression strategy. This method can effectively reduce the overall torque ripple of high-speed square wave PMSM by judging the running state of the motor and selecting the appropriate space voltage vectors in the new space vector selection table. Finally, the proposed improved DTC is tested in MATLAB/Simulink to suppress the commutation torque ripple and non-commutation torque ripple of the motor at high speed. The simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed torque ripple suppression strategy.KeywordsDirect torque control (DTC)High-speed square wave permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)Torque ripple suppression
