Abstract

In this research, it was tried to determine the most appropriate working speeds and also the rate of seed damaging with the machine gives the optimum seed distribution pattern in row for the wheat and barley seeds by using three different types of grain drilling machines which are used in Tokat region. Research were made on laboratory conditions according to 3 different working speed and the same seeding ratio. Sticky band system were used to determine of seeding uniformity in row. In the results of experiments, the optimum seeding distribution pattern in row were found at the Machine-2 by the 1 m/s working speed on wheat and by the 1.5 m/s working speed on barley. No machines were given optimum row space distirbution pattern. No relationship between the working speed and the uniformity of seeding distribution pattern in row and row spacing were found. The grain damaged ratio were found lower than the limits shown on the TS 5690 at the every research results. Seeds damaged ratio were found higher in barley than wheat seeds in all tests.
