Abstract

AbstractTobacco mosaic virus (TMV)‐specific IgG and IgG(T) isolated from a horse were found to contain mainly antibodies with conformational specificity. The amount of antibodies with sequential specificity for the C‐terminal amino acid sequence of the TMV protein subunit must be less than 1 × 10−4 of total antibody activity. The binding properties of both specific immunoglobulins were investigated. No heterogeneity of the association constants for either IgG or IgG(T) could be detected.
