Abstract

The developed waste management system in our country requires a radical and fundamental change from the final deposition to environmental technologies - recycling and disposal. The investigations represented in the paper perform the dynamics of changes in the methods of municipal waste handling in the Tyumen region. Over the period from 2010 to 2020, the population of the region went up 1.4 times and on January 1, 2020 increased to 1 537 416 people (excluding autonomous districts), and in Tyumen - 816.6 thousand people. With the rise of the population, the amount of generated wastes is also growing and accounts to about 2 million tons/year. The creation of industries for the treatment, disposal and waste processing is an urgent task for the development of the domestic economy, which is regulated by the legislative and regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation and its subjects. One of the main reasons for the weakness in the implementation of waste treatment and further disposal processes is the lack of an organized effective system for the separate waste collection, as well as their subsequent treatment, disposal and waste processing on an industrial scale.
