Abstract

With the inexorable rise in the number of people needing renal replacement therapy for end-stage kidney disease, renal care providers need to begin to explore more and varied ways of providing this. This article takes a brief and critical look at the policy impetus for providing home haemodialysis in the UK and considers some of the recent evidence that might support its adoption.
