Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur sejauh mana tingkat literasi media mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial UINSU dalam memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sumber informasi berdasarkan pendekatan Individual Competence Framework (ICF). Pendekatan yang digunakan ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 94 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, rata-rata tingkat literasi media mahasiswa berada pada kategori Advanced (mahir) dengan skor 78,83. Dari tiga dimensi yang dianalisis, critical understanding memperoleh nilai tertinggi, sedangkan communicative abilities mencatatkan skor paling rendah. This study aims to assess the level of media literacy among students of the Faculty of Social Sciences at UINSU in utilizing social media as a source of information, based on the Individual Competence Framework (ICF). A descriptive quantitative method was employed with a sample of 94 students. The findings indicate that, the students' media literacy level falls into the *Advanced* category, with an average score of 78.83. Among the three dimensions, *critical understanding* scored the highest, while *communicative abilities* recorded the lowest score.
