Abstract
Tight-loose culture gives a new interpretation to cross-cultural differences by focusing on external social norms and punishment intensity. Culture exists in social norms which are an important factor to further guide human behavior. This paper mainly discusses the definition and theory of tight-loose culture, as well as the cutting-edge research results of tight-loose culture and socialization, organizational culture, personality, subjective well-being, prejudice and COVID-19, in order to provide some references for future research.
