Abstract

The article deals with the use of Communication and Information Technologies by graduate professors of a public higher education institution in the state of Bahia. The study aimed to understand how postgraduate professors experienced the challenges of developing remote activities. The research was based on qualitative research, as it excelled in revealing the meanings found in the information, enabling interpretive paths to understand and explore the challenges that postgraduate professors faced to make use of ICT in remote classes. As a device for collecting information, narratives were used, which make it possible to know experiences that teachers produce in a certain context of professional activity. In general, the study made it possible to conclude that teachers have an instrumental skill. In the research, it was possible to identify challenges faced by teachers in remote classes, and how teachers moved to experience new ways of working and new channels of communication.
