Abstract

Optical ratio two-photon probe utilizing fluorescent responses for the imaging and detecting of hypochlorite (ClO−) require smart molecular systems able to operate selectively in the weak alkaline watery environment. Herein, we report a three-input “AND-type” fluorescent logic gate (NPA-CN) that demonstrates effective quantification of ClO− in the weak alkaline watery environment. NPA-CN with high signal-to-noise ratio provides a linear response to the three-input (ClO−, OH− and H2O) in rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) of living cells on ratio-mode. More inportantly, NPA-CN can be used to whilst simultaneously image and quantify the changes of three-input.
