Abstract
Nylon-12 resin-bonded magnets are produced by extrusion and injection techniques. The value of (BH) max has been 11.1 MGOe for SmCo 5 and 12.3 MGOe for Sm 2 Co 17 type alloy. With the exception of (BH) max , overall performance such as moldability, magnetizing facility, running of the production machines and quality control homogeneity of magnetic powder are much better with SmCo 5 . These factors will reflect in the cost and overall quality of the products.
