Abstract

In this study, the thermoelectric properties of Bi2O2Se-x%AgSnSe2 composites via liquid assisted shear exfoliation- restacking (LASE-R) method were investigated. The results show that Ag can diffuse into Bi2O2Se to further improve the electron content and the electrical conductivity. Meanwhile, the absolute Seebeck coefficient gets a little deterioration with an increase in the electron content and the effective mass. Besides, the rest AgSnSe2 can further reduce the lattice thermal conductivity of Bi2O2Se through enhanced interfaces and mass fluctuation scattering of the phonons by compositing with AgSnSe2. Finally, a ZTmax of 0.58 for Bi2O2Se-1%AgSnSe2 was obtained, which is 1.24 times that of Bi2O2Se.
