Abstract
The thermodynamic quantities and transition problem of a generalized XY model on triangular lattice are studied by using Monte Carlo (MC) method. We find this transition is a Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless (BKT) type, the same as the XY model, by the result of critical exponents and helicity modulus. The critical temperature is obtained by four different methods. Meanwhile, some thermodynamic quantities are also discussed in detail.
