Abstract

A semiclassical approach to the problem of 3He and 4He solutions for temperatures above the superfluid transition in solution was presented earlier by Chandra and Nanda. The question of a proper choice of the nonideality parameter is now considered. A satisfactory representation of the excess chemical potentials, excess enthalpy, and excess entropy is thus obtained. The contributions of the like and unlike pairs to the cohesion in the solution are also compared.
