Abstract
On the single crystal Chevrel phase compound Cu 1.8Mo 6S 8, the specific heat in the normal and superconducting states has been measured from 2 to 15 K at 0 and 90 kOe. Thermodynamic critical field H c(T) has been obtained. Various fundamental parameters are estimated according to the BCS-GLAG theory. The results show that Cu 1.8Mo 6S 8 is a strong coupling superconductor with a large intrinsic GL parameter κ 0.
