Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of root canal therapy combined with crown restoration in the treatment of cracked pulp disease. Methods A total of 100 patients with cleft teeth and pulp disease admitted to Staff General Hospital of Xishan Coal and Electricity Group Co., Ltd. from August 2016 to January 2018 were selected. They were divided into two groups according to treatment methods, with 50 cases in each group. The patients with endodontic disease treated by crown repair and root canal therapy were selected as the study group, the patients treated by traditional treatment as the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were recorded. The results of the pain improvement before and after treatment were compared by visual analogue scale (VAS) score assessing. Results The total effective rate in the study group (96.00%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (82.00%, P 0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The application of crown restoration and root canal treatment in the treatment of dental cleft pulp disease has significant effects, which is beneficial to acquiring better pain relief and preservation of teeth function.
