Abstract

Non-relativistic many-electron calculations (using the experimental wavelengths) have yielded accurate transition probabilities for Mg- and Zn-like resonance lines of Mo which are of considerable importance to current plasma and fusion related research. These values are (in s−1): Mo30+, 3s3p 1Po → 3s2 1S: A = 5.5 × 1010, Mo12+ 4s4p 1Po → 4s2 1S: A = 2.42 × 1010. As a by product of these computations, approximate wavelengths and oscillator strengths to doubly excited states have been obtained for the Mo12+ system.
