Abstract
We calculate the flux of secondary antiprotons produced by cosmic rays during propagation in the interstellar medium. We illustrate with several examples how the resulting antiproton to proton ratio as measured depends on the assumed primary spectrum and on propagation. We give particular attention to the kinematic suppression of secondary antiprotons below 1 GeV, which is a signature of secondary production.
