Abstract

Two types of time dependence of luminescence excited by rectangular pulse were discussed. Direct excitation and energy transfer were taken into account to explain the dependence during pulse excitation. A model, which assumed energy transfer from one monomolecular centre to another was used. A theoretical relation, describing the time dependence of luminescence, was obtained. The relation is qualitatively in good agreement with observations cited in the literature.
