Abstract
Background: The International Association of Pancreatology recommends treating main duct IPMN with partial pancreatectomy when surgical margins are negative for high-grade dysplasia and invasive carcinoma thus avoiding total pancreatectomy. However, it is difficult to determine the exact resection margins in duodenopancreatectomy for TYPE 1 IPMN. The latest guidelines recommend SpyGlass to accurately determine the extent of the margins before surgery.
