The application of the teacher's interaction style by arranging speech with directive speech is a superior ability in Indonesian language learning. This is because teachers are required to implement Indonesian learning that can develop critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative characters in students. Therefore, this study aims to describe speech switching through how to take over the turn of speech and provide a turn of speech with directive speech as a form of applying the teacher's interaction style in Indonesian learning to increase students' active participation in developing critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative skills. The approach used in this study is the classroom discourse approach. This class discourse approach directs analysis on data obtained from formal and planned conversation interactions (plan discourse). The focus of this conversation interaction lies with the teacher, as the determinant of the topic of conversation. The three main things appear in this Indonesian learning research in the form of: (1) students give honest responses to learning stimulants provided by teachers, (2) students submit more opinions on the information conveyed by the teacher or on the opinions submitted by other students, provide more information, (3) students make their own learning conclusions in their own language and way, Both individually and in groups, (4) students make optimal use of their activities, respond to learning stimuli provided by teachers, (5) students who ask questions, both to teachers and to other students, and (6) students make their own assessments of the results of their work.

This research discusses about illocution on speech acts of foreign students in Indonesian Language learning. Illocution is a speech that shows the state of language relating to the situation in general and more free and aims to express something from the speaker to the partner said that the words spoken are the words that really want to be delivered. This research aims to describe the forms of student illocution in Indonesian Language learning. This form of research is qualitative with naturalistic strategy. Data collection techniques in this research using observation techniques, interviews, and document studies. The data in this study are the data in the form of the students illocution acts (assertive, declaration, directives, commissive, and expressive) in learning activities. The data source in this research is the speech acts of a foreign student in Indonesian Language learning. Data illocution in the form is assertive, directives, commissives and expressive. This research is motivated by students' lack of interest in reading in learning Indonesian. As a solution, this study applies the KWL (Know-Want-Learn) learning model in Indonesian language learning in class IV SDN Kertajaya IV Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the KWL (Know-Want-Learn) technique influences the reading interest of fourth grade students at SDN Kertajaya IV in Surabaya in learning Indonesian. This study is based on the KWL learning paradigm, which requires three main learning activities: students' active participation before reading, understanding the text when it is read, and the ability to draw conclusions. This study used a questionnaire, pretest, and posttest to evaluate the impact of the KWL learning approach on reading ability. The average score obtained by students in the pretest was 64, while the average score they received in the posttest was 82. Therefore, the demands of mastery learning depend on the effectiveness of the KWL learning approach.

The purpose of this research is to describe the use of the Problem Based Learning model in Indonesian Language Learning in the Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA) era. VUCA is a condition that shows rapid, unpredictable, uncertain, complex, and unpredictable changes in various fields, especially education. In this study used the method of literature study. The data analysis techniques used were (1) Examining VUCA and its possible problems and solutions in learning Indonesian, (2) Examining various components in learning Indonesian that might be a solution to the problems encountered in learning Indonesian, (3) Determine components that have great opportunities as solutions to overcome problems in the VUCA era, namely learning models because in the use of learning models other learning components can be integrated. (4) Synchronization between the characteristics of the problems that might arise in the VUCA era, general learning principles (scientific approach), specific principles of Indonesian language learning (genre-based approaches, genre pedagogy, and Content Language Integrated Learning -CLIL), use of ICT, HR demands XXI century, character that must be built or internalized, and independent learning, and (5) Designing synchronization results in the form of material content and activities to be carried out in PBL steps. The results of the research are in the form of a PBL model design in Indonesian language learning in the VUCA era that collaborates and integrates general learning principles, Indonesian language learning principles, the demands of 21st century human resources, ICT, the character that students must have, independent learning in PBL steps to achieve learning objectives that have been set.

Analysis of the Difficulties in Learning Indonesian for Foreign Students in Batam

Abstract. Learning Indonesian language is one of subjects that has to be understood by foreign students in Batam. However, the learning process sometimes could not run well because of foreign students’ ability in learning Indonesian language was still low. Hence, this research aims at analyzing the learning difficulties of foreign students in learning Indonesian language.This research employs mixed methods. Furthermore, this research conducted in one of private schools in Batam with a total of 25 foreign students. The authors distributed questionnaires and conducted interviews to obtain the data. The results shows that there were several difficulties faced by the foreign students in learning Indonesian language such as difficulties in learning speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills and pronouncing Indonesian words. It can be concluded that these difficulties arose due to differences in cultural and language background, lack of time to learn and practice, as well as BIPA materials which they found very challenging. The authors hope that the teachers can improve their motivation in learning Indonesian language by providing interesting learning materials. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology have had a significant impact across various sectors, including language education. In Indonesia, the implementation of AI in language learning presents substantial opportunities, such as personalized learning and innovative assessment methods. However, there are significant challenges, including infrastructure limitations, technology access gaps, and a lack of teacher training. This research aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities of implementing AI in language learning in Indonesia. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method that combines in-depth interviews with education practitioners, language teachers, and technology experts, as well as document analysis from related literature. The results show that while AI can enhance the quality of learning through adaptive and interactive experiences, its implementation is still hindered by uneven infrastructure, especially in remote areas, and the need for more inclusive language processing models. In conclusion, collaboration among the government, educational institutions, and technology developers is crucial to addressing these challenges and maximizing the potential of AI in language education in Indonesia.

This study aims to describe (1) the model of integrating character education in Indonesian language learning, (2) implementing the integration of character education through a pragmatic approach in Indonesian language learning, and (3) implications of the pragmatic approach on the integration of character education in Indonesian language learning. This type of research uses case studies with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were Teacher Professional Education students in the Department of Indonesian Language Studies at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research data are in the form of speech data and field note data, which are sourced from face-to-face verbal interactions between teachers and students in the learning process in the classroom, with data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The data analysis technique is the Milles & Huberman model. The results showed that: (1) the model of integrating character education in Indonesian language learning through the pragmatic approach used by the teacher is the illocutionary model; (2) the implementation of the integration of character education through a pragmatic approach in learning Indonesian is the process of communication between teachers and students based on the principle of cooperation; and (3) the implication of the pragmatic approach to the integration of character education in Indonesian language learning is the emergence of three components of good character.

Language teaching materials, especially Bahasa Indonesia for elementary school age learners (SD/MI) is very meaningful especially aimed at learning to speak words both in writing and oral, thus making students who are able to apply good speech in the community. Indonesian language learning at SD/MI level is expected to be able to improve students' skills in order to be able to interact and generate appreciation for the work of literature and culture of the Indonesian state. Local culture in the surrounding environment is very important in the process of teaching and learning Bahasa Indonesia. Students often face difficulties in pursuing Bahasa Indonesia material because the teacher taught is quite boring. This research uses descriptive quadrative research method with library study approach. The object of study in this study is the role of local culture in teaching materials in Indonesian language learning. An educator, especially a teacher, must realize that Indonesian language learning is learning about language skills and not learning about language regulation. By incorporating local cultural values, it is expected that the teaching materials in Bahasa Indonesia will become very interesting to learn. The integration of local cultures in teaching materials in Indonesian language learning will play an important role for students in acting in speech that holds the noble values of Indonesian culture and the learning process will be very interesting for students in SD/MI.

Learning Indonesian is a learning that has an important role in terms of knowledge, emotions and attitudes. Learning Indonesian with material related to literary works in the form of children's literature. Children's literature is part of the 2013 curriculum in Indonesian language learning. This research method uses literature study as data collection. The results of the analysis of research on children's literature in learning Indonesian in grade VII curriculum 2013 high school, namely children's literature into reading that can stimulate children's imagination according to the end and the child's psyche. Fantasy stories are stories whose plot development uses a causal basis as a form of moral message and combines logic with things that don't make sense. A fable is a traditional story in which the character is an animal about the life of an animal which is intended as a personification of human character that contains a moral message. Witty rhymes are rhymes that aim to entertain and have value or are humorous without offending others and as a means of socializing. The role of children's literature is to become a medium for teachers to introduce good attitudes and behavior and things that are not accepted in society with the characters in fables and fantasy stories. Learning Indonesian is often taken lightly by students. Students in learning are not very enthusiastic, but in fact when the implementation of the test results have not reached the expected target. This is certainly a special concern for teachers to foster student interest, especially in class 6 MI Ma'arif NU 2 Sanggreman. The ideal step is to present effective and enjoyable Indonesian learning, especially because Grade 6 is facing a national exam so it must master Indonesian language learning materials well. The implementation of this research uses a qualitative method that presents and analyzes data descriptively. Data collection methods use observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses Miles and Hubberman data analysis. The results of the study, while being evaluated by carrying out frog jumps, the result is the number of students who can take part in Indonesian language learning activities that look active as much as 80%. From these results it can be concluded that the implementation of Indonesian language learning using the smart jump method is effective because in it there is quality of learning, suitability, intensive, and time.

COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ IN INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LEARNING THROUGH RADEC

Collaboration and communication skills were essential as basic skills in the 21st century. This research described the forms of students’ collaboration skills in terms of the teamwork aspect, and the forms of students’ communication skills in terms of the verbal communication aspect, that emerge in Indonesian Language learning through RADEC. A qualitative approach with a case study type was applied in this study. The subjects were 3rd-grade students in one of the elementary schools in Bandung city. Data collection was carried out through observation, field notes, and interviews. Data was analyzed through data collection, data reduction, and conclusion. The results of this study show that 1) the form of student collaboration skills are through contributing to completing group assignments, help each other when having difficulties, appreciating the work of their friend in the group, and exchanging ideas and opinions, and 2) the form of student communication skills are being able to present the results of group discussions, being active argue and asking a question, using an appropriate language, respect each other’s opinions, brave and confident when speaking in front of the class. Collaboration in the discussion stage has yet to be visible; the reasons are that the students have yet to conclude the different opinions or answers even though the essence is the same, one person still dominates the discussion, and some students need to work on pre-learning questions. This research implied that Indonesian Language learning need to be designed to actively involved students to develop collaboration and communication skills by integrating innovative learning model such as RADEC.

Game-Oriented Problem Exploration (GOPE) Model in Language Learning: A Teacher’s View

The development of students' critical and collaborative thinking skills is essential, particularly in Indonesian language learning. To address this, a targeted learning model is needed. The Game-Oriented Problem-Based Learning and Engagement (GOPE) model has been proposed, but a needs analysis is required to assess its feasibility and integration into classroom settings. A descriptive survey method was employed to analyze teacher needs for the GOPE model in Indonesian language learning. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to Indonesian language teachers across various schools. The responses were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative approach to identify patterns and trends in teachers' perspectives. Findings revealed that teachers recognized the critical role of integrating problem-based learning and gaming elements to enhance student engagement and motivation. Most participants emphasized that such integration could significantly improve learning outcomes and foster students' critical and collaborative thinking skills. The data supported the hypothesis that the GOPE model could address these educational challenges effectively. The results suggest that the GOPE model has potential as an innovative tool in language learning. Its emphasis on combining problem-solving strategies with interactive gaming aligns with teachers’ views on effective pedagogical practices. Further research and development are recommended to optimize its application and assess its impact on students’ skills and learning achievements. This study highlights the need for innovative learning models in Indonesian language education. The GOPE model shows promise in enhancing critical and collaborative skills, suggesting a positive step toward improved educational practices.

The Importance of Using E-LKPD in Indonesian Language Learning

This research was conducted to find out the importance of using E-LKPD in learning Indonesian. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach, namely describing and elaborating information related to the importance of using the E-LKPD in learning Indonesian. The data collection technique in this study was library research, namely collecting data related to research variables, namely LKPD and Indonesian language learning obtained from books, scientific articles, proceedings, websites and other reliable literary sources. The results of this study are that the use of E-LKPD in learning Indonesian is very important. This is seen from analyzes of the needs of E-LKPD in schools. Some of the things that cause the use of E-LKPD are needed in learning Indonesian are the lack of student interest in learning, the need for teaching materials that are still lacking, especially in text-based learning, the lack of teaching materials for use in distance learning, and the need for teaching materials in accordance with the demands of the curriculum and technological progress is still lacking. In addition, from studies related to the development of E-LKPD it can also be seen that the E-LKPD resulting from this development is valid and practical to use. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of E-LKPD is very important in learning Indonesian.

Implementasi Aplikasi Tik-Tok Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

The aim of this research is to describe the use of the Tik-Tok application as a means of learning Indonesian. In conducting research, applying qualitative descriptive., where the results of the research are indirect observations of the research subject used is the Tik Tok application as a medium for learning Indonesian language by utilizing several supporting features in the Indonesian language learning process. The results will be described in points according to the main elements in learning Indonesian. This research was conducted with several important points made by educators and students in the process of learning Indonesian. The description is carried out with the subject of the tik-tok application. In the use of the tik-tok application, several features were found that can be used as learning media. The data accumulation applies the observation method and description analysis with document instruments. Data analysis was carried out with a reduction stage, exposure and then conclusions were drawn. The results of the study prove that the Tik Tok application if used properly can have benefits as a medium in learning Indonesian. The data analysis was carried out focusing on the implementation of tik-tok as an internet-based Indonesian language learning medium and could be evaluated comprehensively and continuously. The use of applications that are relatively easy to understand so that they can be applied in learning Indonesian. This study proves that the tik-tok application can assist students in testing skills in learning Indonesian. The results show significantly that the tik-tok application can be an attractive learning medium for students and flexible learning can be carried out while still paying attention to the main points in Indonesian. The conclusion of this study is that the tik-tok application that is used properly can be used as a more interactive and efficient Indonesian language learning medium.

Penggunaan Media Wordwall untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas X SMAN 1 Pademawu

Indonesian language learning that keeps up with the times can be realized through the use of internet-based technology media. Technology-based media will maximize the targets of Indonesian language learning. Many learning platforms can be applied in learning Indonesian, some are paid and some are free. One of the applications that can be used in learning Indonesian is Wordwall. In this study, Wordwall is applied in Indonesian language learning on the material of observation report texts in high school. The subjects of this research are 10th-grade students at SMAN 1 Pademawu. This research is in the form of classroom action research. The research results show that the students' success rate in mastering observation report texts at the pre-cycle stage was 42.8%, at the cycle I stage was 64%, and at the cycle II stage was 85.7%. This indicates an increase in the graph of students' mastery of observation report text material after using Wordwall as a learning medium. There are still several obstacles in the use of that media, namely network issues and students' concentration not yet improving to the maximum.

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Aplikasi Game dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada Siswa Kelas XI

The aims of this study are to (1) describe the development of game media in Indonesian language learning; (2) reveal the level of interest in using game media in an effective learning process requires media in Indonesian language learning; and (3) knowing the level of effectiveness of using game media in learning Indonesian. This research is development research, with data collection steps according to the development model according to Borg & Gall. The stages taken in this research are limited to seven stages, namely research and information collecting, planning, developing the preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, and operational product revision. The results of the research show that: (1) the development of learning media based on Android games with the support of the Netbeans 12.4 product oracle software; (2) students have a positive attitude towards the product by 81% in the "very interesting" category; (3) the level of effectiveness of using game media in learning Indonesian is 82% or very effective. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that web-based games can be used to support learning media for high school students.
