Abstract
Renewable energy is clean energy and non-polluting. Many forms do not emit any greenhouse gases or toxic waste in the process of producing electricity. It is a sustainable energy source that can be relied on for the long-term. Renewable energy is cost-effective and efficient. Renewable energy sources such as biomass, wind, solar, hydropower, and geothermal can provide sustainable energy services, based on the use of routinely available, indigenous resources. Green energy is energy that is produced in a manner that has less of a negative impact to the environment than energy sources like fossil fuels, which are often produced with harmful side effects. “Greener” types of energy that often come to mind are solar, wind, geothermal and hydro energy. The 3 main sources of Green Energy are water, wind and solar energy that can limit the dependence on fossil fuels dramatically. Carbon neutral fuels can provide easily distributed storage for renewable energy, eliminating the problems of wind and solar intermittency, and enabling transmission of wind, water, and solar power through existing natural gas pipelines. The renewable energy use will continue to grow over the coming decades, fossil fuels will account for an estimated 84 per cent of the increase in global energy demand between the period 2005 and 2030. Green energy offer an effective replacement to these conventional sources of energy because are pollution free.
