Abstract

The ultrastructure of the lemnisci and body wall of Octospinifer macilentus (Van Cleave, 1919), parasitic in the intestine of the white sucker, Catostomus commersoni (Lacepede), is described and illustrated. Observations made on this worm indicate that the structure follows the general pattern described for other species of acanthocephalans.
