Journal of the American Society for Naval EngineersVolume 62, Issue 4 p. 855-870 THE TITANIUM PROGRAM AT THE U. S. NAVAL EXPERIMENT STATION W. LEE WILLIAMS, W. LEE WILLIAMS THE AUTHOR Received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1941 from Antioch College. During four of his student years he served under the cooperative plan as laboratorian in Physical Metallurgy at Battelle Memorial Institute. After graduation he became Metallurgist for the American Steel Abrasives Company. During the war he was commissioned in the Naval Reserve and served at the U.S. Naval Engineering Experiment Station. After discharge, he remained as a civilian metallurgist and became Assistant to the Superintendent of the Metallurgical Laboratory. A previous article of which Mr. Williams was co-author appeared in the November 1948 issue of the JOURNAL.Search for more papers by this author W. LEE WILLIAMS, W.
