Abstract

For many years, people have recognised and accepted the importance of daily toothbrushing, good nutrition and regular dental checkups to prevent dental disease. Sadly, in most cases this regime does not apply to pets and many clients are shocked when you point out the presence of advanced, or even severe dental disease in their pet. In her third article, Caroline Jevring recommends encouraging owners to adopt a strategy for the care of their pet's teeth similar to their own.
