Abstract
HighlightsSPI1 and SMAD5 are upregulated during MC3T3-E1 cell osteogenic differentiation.SPI1 enhances SMAD5 transcription.Icariin increases SMAD5 expression by upregulating SPI1.The SPI1/SMAD5 axis underlies the promoting effect of icariin on MC3T3-E1 cell osteogenic differentiation.
