Abstract
Objective To investigate the operation techniques for cataract after complex glaucoma surgery. Methods Sixty-seven eyes of 56 patients with cataract after complex glaucoma surgery received phacoemulification.According to the situation of preoperative pupillary widening posterior synechia , hard nucleus cataract and high intraocular pressure , we choose to apply the appropriate surgical skills.Postoperative visual acuity , the pupil , corner and intraocular pressure were observed. Results Followed up 3-6 months, postoperative the best corrected visual acuity was 0.05-0.25 in 18 eyes, 0.3-0.5 in 44 eyes, ≥0.6 in 5 eyes.Compared with the preoperative visual acuity of light sense to 0.12, the postoperative visual acuity was improved.Two cases occurred temporary intraocular hypertension after the operation.By drug therapy the intraocular pressure was controled .The main complications were corneal edema, postoperative uveitis and pupil deformation. Conclusion Application of surgery skills for treatment of cataract after glaucoma surgery can improve operation effect and reduce complications. Key words: Glaucoma; Cataract; Operation skills
