Abstract
A new mathematical modelling of non linear switched reluctance (SR) motor based on stator phase winding inductance is presented in this paper. As SR motor has nonlinear characteristics, therefore with proper mathematical modeling, it is convenient to understand the working, design and control of SR motor. With the help of this mathematical model, the simulation model of single stator phase and hence 8/6 switched reluctance (SR) motor are developed. The simulation results are shown using MATLAB Simulink software. The simulation results shows that proposed mathematical model is accurate and effective approach to study and analyze the SR motor drive.
