Abstract
SUMMARY In the framework of the development of a model for ‘Systematic Curriculum Alignment and Watch’ (SCAW) in high-technology disciplines, the need for reliable mapping of the technologist's professional profile has arisen. This paper deals with the issue of sampling members from various establishments (industry, services, etc.) to be interviewed for determining the occupational requirements from engineering-technology manpower at work. The distribution of engineers (26,815) and engineering technicians (30,865) in the various economic branches in Israel is presented and analysed, and a sampling procedure from this population is presented.
