Abstract

The 2019 EACTS/EACTA/EBCP guidelines for the management of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in adult cardiac surgery recommend maintaining mean arterial pressure (MAP) within a range of 50-80 mmHg. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to determine the impact of high vs. low blood pressure targets during CPB on morbidity and mortality in adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
