Abstract

The article addresses the tendency of release of the Russian language from ideological pressure in Ukraine, the extension of its functions to the broad social environment, beyond the prescribed limits and instructions. The author characterizes the transition from the concept of the Russian language as an ideology and overstructure from the Soviet point of view to the concept of the Russian language as a language of international and interethnic communication. It is to be used by various professional groups and communities to different extent of intense for better mutual understanding and communication, including scientific and educational ones.
