Abstract
In June 1987 the Commussion of the European Communities issued a “Gree Paper” on the development of the common Market for Telecommunications Services and Equipment. Of particular importance is the liberalization of telecommunications services within the EEC and, by implication, in the whole of Western Europe. The current status of the “Green Paper” is outlined and special emphasis is given to the enhancement of current actions and to the current work on Open Network Provision in the Community.
