Abstract
The technology of damage detection by the piezoelectric impedance has been researched extensively, and in which the static load is usually used. To further expand the research of range, the dynamic signal excitation beam is used. A piezoelectric coupling beam model was established to deduce formulas of beam admittance. The resonance frequency of piezoelectric coupling beam and the dynamic signal excitation beam were studied in experiment. In the low frequency non-resonant frequency region, the experiment results are consistent with the theory. Research shows resonant frequency of coupling beam is equal to its natural frequency.
