Abstract

3D is a three-dimensional image markup language which suited for World Wide Web. X3D is designed by the Web3D Consortium, and it is the latest upgrade based on VRML standard. X3D is designed based on XML formation, it can directly use the new technology such as XML DOM document tree and XML Schema calibration. The cultural heritage of ancient artifacts is non-renewable, while repairing and protecting is diverse. The use of virtual reality technology combined with network technology to recover and virtual network show ancient artifacts and cultural heritage has become an essential tool. Currently, in the horion about Virtual Heritage exhibition, it is almost shown by 3D scene browse and 3D multi-angle observed and text and voice introduction, which have the low interactivity. In this paper, We show a way, which is a combination of X3D and JavaScript in order to recovery drum. At the same time, we exploit the coordinates of the X3D and JavaScript technology on virtual recovery of drums, and use the X3D data interface to match with the voice of different point drums. When we observe the virtual drum, We can use the mouse to touch the bronze drum to heard realistic sound. And bang it's drums from different locations, where the sound is a corresponding difference. Using this method, Not only can achieve recovery of drum's shape also drums recovery of drum's sound.
