Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between POK erythroid myeloid oncogenic factor (Pokemon),Snail and clinicopathologic characteristics of breast carcinoma.Methods The expression of Pokemon and Snail were examined in 70 cases of human breast carcinoma tissues and non-cancerous adjacent breast tissues using immunohistochemical method.Results The expression rate of Pokemon was 72.86% in breast carcinoma tissues,and 37.14% in non-cancerous adjacent breast tissues (P <0.01),the expressions of Pokemon were related breast carcinoma to lymph node metastasis (P < 0.01) ; the expression rate of Snail was 81.43% in breast carcinoma tissues,and 27.14% in non-cancerous adjacent breast tissues (P < 0.01),the expressions of Snail were related breast carcinoma to histology grade,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05).Conclusion The expressions of Pokemon and Snail in breast carcinoma tissues might be used as markers for assessing the clinicopathological features and progno-sis.
